As the fallen angel Moloch creeps further into the public consciousness (2018 unfortunately will see a lot more of him due to the floodgate of horrific child-related crimes soon to be revealed), I was reminded of my 2013 book, Between River and Rock: How I Resolved Television in Six Easy Payments!
Here are:
- the press release from Giant Steps Press.
- the Amazon listing.
- my interview about the book on the GSP blog.
- one of the book’s six long-form essays that appears at the post-beat clearinghouse, The Museum of American Poetics (MAP) entitled Camelot Sells a Lot.

Perhaps something in this hodgepodge will entice you to get the book. I say this not to move books, but because I believe it prefigured much of what is being uncovered in our midst. Broadly, Moloch is the jealous present dining on the incumbent future. Cronus versus Zeus. The book is not an especially breezy read. But I believe it is a worthwhile one.
